Cheapish alternative volume pot.

If anyone suspects their Alps Blue might be responsible for the hash way-down in the depths of their system, then I would suggest they try one of these for around the same price (18 euros):

A 50K log version has certainly worked wonders for my Sugden A21Se, takes up less room and is a piece of cake to fit. All over much cleaner sound and would seem to be well made.

What´s to lose - it can be changed back in 5 minutes.

Sorry, wrong place. Mods please move to DIY projects (amps) if it is deemed fit.

There is a post by Pre 65 about the same item, some weeks back. BOB

Actually, last time I remembered I had one of these I tried to find it, without success.:D'oh!:

And then, a few weeks ago I found it under a bookcase.

Feck knows how it got there, but it's in the spares box now, with loads of other bits waiting for me to get the time and/or enthusiasm to do something with it.

Next update due in June 2023.:)

Now that’s a coincidence, I’ve been looking for weeks for this thread or Phillip’s. They are still trading and I’ve just ordered one, they do customs forms now so hopefully avoid the PO fees. Brexit just keeps on giving ;) (sorry, sorry)
Like Phillips the spare I ordered back then is missing

Boondi, looking at the picture it is far from clear that the resistors are included or fitted.

Yes they are fitted A, they are very small SMT, I commented on this pot some time ago. Bob

Thanks. Now I see the tiny ring of them round the edge. Should've gone to Specsavers .
I'd love to know what a "foot handle" is (the thing the 10k has an option of coming without).
