Bristol Show 23 24 25 Feb 2007 - World Designs and Slatedeck!!
23 24 25 February 2007
http://www.bristolshow.co.uk/ As this has been well published elsewhere, I'm sure Peter won't mind me starting a thread about this years Bristol Show which is taking place 23rd to 25th February at the Marriott City Centre Hotel, Lower Castle Street, Bristol, BS1 3AD. World Designs will be exhibiting all their amplifiers and speakers including the new Phono 3, Pre 3 and PSU 3, fed into WD88VA XL and onto speakers WD25T XL and possibly WD25A XL. Slatedeck will also be present with one or two quality turntables and a substantial new equipment rack. Dr John (John Caswell) will also be present to answer all your technical queries. I will be there for the three day duration, hopefully making people feel welcome and doing a bit of DJ'ing to keep the sounds rolling and of course to discuss anything within my own limitations. From what the magazine states, the HFW team will also be present to consult with and question. Once again I will organise a meet up for forum members at lunchtime on all three days. This will be at a close by (spitting distance) venue. Be warned that refreshment prices at the venue will cost more than your high end systems I will confirm the lunchtime venue later, but it'll probably be the same as last year which was good, allowing free conversation with excellent food (including a selection of vegetarian options) and real ale, all at a very reasonable price. I will later post details on how to find the pub once I've confirmed with the landlord. Leaving the show at lunchtime is not a problem if you wish to return later. You simply declare your wish to the staff at the reception desk and they will UV mark your hand so that on return you can confirm you've already paid your entrance fee allowing you re-entry. To help me plan (and to assist the chef at the pub), please can those attending who wish to meet up at lunchtime post here the day you are going to be present and want to join in at lunchtime. I'll collate the detail for the information of the pub and also so we all know who to look out for on each day. I'm looking forward to meeting up again with those I already know and hopefully putting some faces to names I've already met here, but not met in person before. Come to the Bristol Show. It's good fun, good value for money and you've the opportunity to build some really good and helpful friendships, not to mention the opportunity to demo some first rate World Design and Slatedeck kit. Best wishes, Greg PS Moderators, would it be good to make this thread a sticky? Last edited by Richard; 17th February 2007 at 11:19 AM. Reason: add link |

Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
I don't know about answering ALL the tech queries, however I will be at lunch Fri/Sat and Sunday. As usual many thanks to Greg for local knowledge and organising the lunch menus. Your wish is my command. John aka Dr John Last edited by John Caswell; 6th February 2007 at 12:10 AM. Reason: Converted to a sticky |

Won't be able to get to this show either....
Oh well..... Expect a full report on the new phono and pre guys. Also, the slate rack sounds interesting as I am cobbeling a shelf/support/base from granite at the moment. Enjoy it.....sob....sob.....

Hmmm, this thread is disappointingly quiete. Is anyone coming down to Bristol this year? If you are, it would be good to make a connection.
Best wishes, Greg |

I'll be there, standing near the door, watching Greg, Darren and Dr John do all the work again.
