What I would like......
If this is the right area for this:
1) Design/kit for a powered subwoofer 2) Project for an Isotek style mains purifier for my turntable and CD player |

Re: What I would like......
David,
I used a 3 amp two stage Schafner filter type FN2080 from RS, 219-2971. Not cheap and I have no alternatives to compare it to but definitely an improvement for my transport/dac. I've also seen something on John Risch's site at http://www.geocities.com/jonrisch/surge.htm but have not tried it. Little Eddy. |

Re: What I would like......
Sounds interesting. Me, I'd like to see some bipole push-push subs, or even dipoles with built-in active EQ but I suspect I'm in the minority there. Either that or, for fun, some TL types. A reduced version of Nelson Pass' El Pipe-O would be amusing, and dead-easy to build, even if it is a bit of a compromise compared to a 'proper' TL / QWR (whatever that might be!)

Re: What I would like......
'Fraid the foregoing is beyond me. What surprises me, however, is that there has yet to be a mention of remotely controlled amps - volume only would be sufficient.
WAD did offer a motorised pot but nothing to drive it. A remote control could be a standard offering to fit any model of amplifier and I'm sure would prove a popular option. I'll certainly take one if they become available. Richard. |
