12v Regulated supply for Car

Hi
Can anyone help with this? I need a 12v 5 amp regulated supply in a car to run a T amp. What's the easiest way of achieving this? I guess whatever is suggested will ahve to deal with nasty interferences, but then my I Pod runs in the car silently through a simple dropper /regulator.
