I'm just trying this now...

It should be a colourful picture of the track layout of the new WDKEL84 Mk3 PCB.

Don't forget that jpg files have a max size of 1024 x 1024 pixels and 175kb .

Can someone point to instructions on how to place a picture in a post. Tried the add image option but it asks for a url - how do I point it at my jpg in a folder?

Mel

Hi Mel,

Forgive me if I'm reading you wrongly. Are you meaning that the pic is in a folder on your computer or is it hosted on the web?

1) Picture in post.

To show a pic in the post requires the image to be hosted on the web where anyone can read it.

(Example - go to any web article and right click an image in it. Then left click properties at the bottom of the box and you'll see the web address - url - for that image. The image is hosted at the domain showing at the beginning of the address. If you were to enter that complete address then that pic would come up in your post.)

So your pic needs hosting either in your own webspace (isp providers often give you some free) or on a site such as photobucket. Once there it will have the url you need for the post.

2) Picture added as attachment to bottom of post.

If you don't want to host the pic elsewhere or want it to be private just to WD members, you can add it as an attachment (shown as a thumbnail). This means the pic is uploaded and hosted by WD and shown here to members only when logged on. Set to advanced message editor using "userCP". Then use the "manage attachments" button in the "Additional options" panel under the message window when making your post.

Rich
