Child forum
I did an "advanced" search just now, and there was a check box for "also search in child forums".
What is that ?

Re: Child forum
I think that we do care Philip, I for one, did not understand your post, could you please be more specific, first I thought it may be something to do with new members titles, that are to say the least, puzzling. BOB

Re: Child forum
Hi I don't know if it means the same as terms used in spreadsheets.
For example the parent could be motorcycle brake, then anything associated to the brake, master cylinder, brake pads etc is classed as a child. So perhaps in this instance the parent is turntable and the child could be tone arm cartridge suspension springs etc. Just a calculated guess, any other ideas? |

Re: Child forum
That seems a very reasonable explanation.

Re: Child forum
I think smithblue3 must be right.
If, for example, you search the Heading "World Designs" for the word "Amplifier" you get 107 results if child forums are searched, but no matches at all if child forums unselected. If you search each of the subheadings within World Designs, News, WD Loudspeakers and so on, their results add up to 107. Alastair Last edited by A Stuart; 8th October 2016 at 05:29 PM.
