Default Help out there for a KEL80

Hi,
I have a pair of KEL80 monoblocks which I built some years ago and have over the years improved and modified and loved. The mains transformer has now shorted on one of the blocks and I cannot find who made them or a part number - they are potted and have no information on them at all.

I have the origional schematic for the circuit and transformers but would dearly love to get a replacement.

Anyone out there can help???

Many thanks

Afraid not. These are the codes for the output transformers. I am after the codes/manufacturer for the mains fransformer.
I have spoken to the manufacturer of the output transformers and they did not make the mains transformers. I also spoke to David from Antrim transformers who the Guys from the HiFi colective said may have made them - they have no record of the schematic/part numbers.

The Guys from Antrim have offered to reverse engineer one for me (am sorely tempted to go down this route)

Any half decent transformer maker should be able to make one for you, they will need to know volts in and out and current out, the old transformer should be given to them, so as the size and frame is the same, I had one made for a WAD 6550 about ten years ago by a local firm, cost was then £35.00 , still working good. Hi,

Mike Holmes had the remains of the WAD stock. I had a Kel80 OPTX from him a couple of years ago.

I'd drop him an email with the diameter, height, and wire colours of your TX and see if he has one left. WAD used 3 toroid mains iirc so any id will be useful,

transformers "AT" livinginthepast.demon.co.uk

change "AT" for @

An outside chance too but I vaguely remember Philip, Pre65 here, having a toroid mains from Mike so it would be worth asking if he still has it/is using it, which one, etc.

I have indeed got a pair of those toroidal transformers, but they are used on my 6B4-g monoblocks. I might be prepared to sell both if the right offer was made. (I won't sell just the one unfortunately)

I'm sure Mike Holmes has got none left, it was quite a few years ago.

John and I have come to an amicable agreement about the transformers, so his amp should soon be back in full working order.
