Audio Origami
Thought I'd share my experiences with 'j7' of Audio Origami.
I contacted 'j7' last year about getting a dead arm repaired. He could have gone ahead and taken the work on but instead persuaded me that the arm was probably to far gone and to save my pennies for a new one. Not often you see such up front and honest advice. One point to j7! Then when I was getting depressed that I hadn't found an arm, he managed to link me with a seller. Two points to j7! I now had a working TT again but with a dry-ish sump so, I bought the Booster Oil kit from him. OK around £10 for a bit of oil sounds somewhat expensive, but the kit came very well recommended on several forums and uses very clever oil. What can I say, kit was well packaged came with two lint free cloths to polish and clean the bearing, oil, syringe/dropper and long handled cotton bud to get the last of the old oil out. It also included loads of extras, a cart protractor, a strobe disc plus good very good instructions for all the bits. What a difference an oil change made, worth an tenner? I'd definitely say so! Three points to j7! cheers, -- Andrew |
