I've come in here very late, and I apologise if I'm off topic or repeating something not worth repeating ...
Has anyone used glass balls as isolating material? ... I used to have a tt base sitting on 3/4" playing marbles ... it seemed OK. At present I have a subwoofer (enormously heavy) sitting on 4 billiard balls ... that seems to be OK too (but given the mass of the box, there probably wouldn't much apparent difference if it were mounted on small furry animals) ALF:p
