Default WD Kit for use with Elac BS244

Hi

Its 9 years since I built, whilst living in the US at the time, A WAD 2A3 amp, which I ran with full range PA modified speakers. A great set up at the time, but it had to stay in the US when we came back. 9 years later, back in UK since 2003, and after lots of Hi Fi buying and selling I am hankering after the smell of solder once more...

I am using Marantz CD and PM Pearl Lite, into ELAC BS244's, which I got at a good deal. They are very clear, but a little bright with this setup. I am in a small converted garage for a study. I would love to give the 84 a go, not least because of budget, but I suspect I would need the 88, even in a small room. The ELAC's are 88dB at 4 ohms, with a minimum of 3.5 ohms at 190Hz.

Thoughts and suggestions welcome!

Regards

Steve
