Default Mundorf Capacitors

Has anyone had experience of using Mundorf caps for coupling? Was looking at their MCap Supremes.....

Yes, I've used them a lot before. Very clean and detailed sounding cap with little colouration, however, I've recently found the Soniqs from WD are very good at a lower cost the downside is the smallest capacity is 2u2! Peter we need 0.1, 0.22 and 0.47 versions!

I would also recommend the Dynamicaps, a very very good cap for coupling in an amp.

I too agree, but would add that Jupiter Beeswax are also very good, smooth, detailed and slightly warm. I have Mundorf Silver in Oil in speaker x-o (but am about to go full range) and the same in Phono II.

Big blighters they are too.

Thanks all - I may give them a try and will report back at a future date. The silver/oil and the foil run out quite expensive so may try the MCap Supremes - I like a clear sound (currently been using Auricaps) so hopefully I like the results....

If you like Auricaps, you'll love Dynamicaps. I've banged on about these for ages now. They really are very good and in my book one of the best value for money boutique capacitors available. The only cap I found better was CV Audio V-Caps, but they'll cost you an arm and a leg. Some of us renamed them remorgage caps. It's all subjective and I've not tried Mundorf or WD Soniqs, but be sure to take note of Neal's recommendation. This man has exceptionally good ears! I'll certainly be trying the Soniqs in the not too distant future.

Best wishes,

Greg
