s------e, y-u c-n r-----y w--k it o-t a-d r--d it.

In my previous occupation, for a while I was in a post where I had to read the illegible hand written reports of colleagues in order for me to make decisions on the actions required in each case. I posted an email to all along these lines......"just get the first and last letter of every word legible and I'll do the rest!"

OK, and of course, because you only need the first and last letters in any sentence, you can regularly work it out and read it. Am I correct Greg?.

More or less.

And of course, because you only need the first and last letters in any word in a sentence, you can readily work it out and read it.
