Default Seeking Kat34 documentation

Greetings.

Some 15 years ago I built a KAT34 amp. Liked it so much that I sprung for the 300B PSE monoblocs and listened to them for several years. Then I moved from Europe to the US and both systems languished. In the last couple of weeks, I revived the monoblocs. They both needed work: one was motorboating, the other generating distortion due to an aging solder joint. Anyway, they are sounding great now. So I want to tackle the older KAT34, but I lack the documentation, in particular the circuit diagrams. Could someone kindly provide these? KIT34 would do just as well, of course. I would be very grateful.

It's such a pleasure to listen to my 300Bs! It may be, in part, due to the high-end components that I installed during the build. I picked them up during business trips to Tokyo, rummaging through the wonderful shops in Akihabara. I have a full set of Black Gate caps in both systems, including "Heart of Muse" 100uf cans on the HV supplies. I thought they were expensive at the time, now I see used(!) ones going for five times the original price on ebay!

Long time no speak, Stefan. Good to see you are still using and enthusiastic about your WAD amps.

You have PM.

This is just to show that the WAD monoblocks are still alive and kicking serious music. My system includes Klipsch RF-5 speakers and an ancient Squeezebox music source that plays my FLAC format CD collection. I can switch to Spotify, which comes in from a Mac laptop via an optical cable. To allow for switching, I reluctantly installed an ALPS potentiometer for volume control. The box on the lower right contains a MONICA2 NOS DAC, powered by a 12V rechargeable battery.

The cabinet (which contains all power distribution components plus slack DIY speaker cables) and the lamps on the speakers are from my wood shop.
