A couple of years ago I remember seeing a site where the units were built into an octagonal I think floorstanding cabinet ,anyway how does the KLS8 compare to the more modern offerings.

I can't answer your specific question but I can tell you that if this is a project you want to start out on, the speaker components are no longer available........I looked at this before.
