Default Running-In Service

Hello All
( the poster formerly known as Mark J )

I just thought I ought to mention , I am available to perform running-in services on specific components, rather in the same way that Paul Barker offered to run-in black gate capacitors for WAD board members, a year or two back .

I am currently able to offer running-in services on the following components, if you have problems listening to their poor performance in the early stages ( eg. up to 200 hours ) :

Koetsu Cartridges ( Rosewood or above )
Schroeder Tonearms
Morsiani unipivot tonearms
Teres or Verdier turntables

I will also consider other items such as -
Zyx cartridges
Audio-Note IO field coil cartridges
Field coil speaker drivers
Edgarhorn systems
STC 4212 valves
WE 300Bs

Please send in your request and I will slot it into my schedule .

Mark

Its a hell of a job, but I guess someone has to do it...

You could offer a similar though even more stressfull service, listen to new SS amp and CD player purchases for the first few weeks, so the owner can get right to the descision that they don't want to listen to music that often anyway, without having to do that time wasting thinking they must be good, as the mag gave them five stars.

Nick,

I think your suggestion is a little beyond my abilities. I think you have to go with your own talents, concentrate on what you can do best .
Been a bit quiet so far on this, but I expect some people will contact me eventually .

Negativity gives you colds.
A tip i learn't many years ago, regarding running speakers in.....Turn them to face each other,so the drivers are nearly touching, wire one speaker out of phase, cover with a duvet, and put a cd on repeat or leave the radio on all day.
Worked for me

Regards

Martin
