Hi Max,
interesting - may give this a try. I have pretty much solved the electrical hum with DC heaters using some 10A schottky diodes and 2 x 4700uf 16V caps. Now 5mv p-p. The mechanical hum is down to an almost acceptable level by making two gaskets, one for the TX to rest on and one for the Chrome TX covers to sit on. It's just a pity the mains TX's made so much noise in the first place. |
