Default 2A3 Loftin-White SE Amp

Bearing in mind the number of members who have built Loftin-White amps, I thought it would be worthwhile gauging interest.

Depending on the valves - as I believe it can be made using pentodes etc.

I'd be up for this if the comments on this and the WAD BB are anything to go by.

Isn't it the case that if your driver valve fails the whole channel is wrecked? Maybe not such a great kit for newbs? (I think there is a workaround on the Tubecad site.)

Bluebell already offer a kit of sorts, so do asano, with a choice of output valves. If you count DRDs from Welborne Labs then it seems the direct coupled SET is already a pretty crowded area of the market.

If WD were to offer this type of product, how would they make it more desirable than the others already available?

good points Allen. In my haste I clicked the 1st choice & didn't read the others. I too would probably go for the Bluebell option.

But, it would be useful to have a bare chassis option from WD, for both practical and aesthetic reasons.
