the diy market is actually flourishing, loads of companies, to name a few

bottlehead, welborne, diyhifisupply, an infinitum of people building their own, too.

I can't think of anything right now, but how about really hard thinking about something totally different, if it can be found,

like an 845 class AB2 push pull for mega power, or an ongaku type kit, or a loftin white, instead of the formulaic el34 driven by std. phase splitter?

or even more far out?

or a solid state riaa with the best opamps? riaa's really are a tad samey.

I think a Loftin White design would be interesting and something I might consider, if it was well researched and different from the standard designs for this circuit topology.
