Audax gold tweeters looking sad
It's taken some time, years to get my system sounding right to my taste, but sadly the oval gold tweeters in my wad kls10 are looking sad and rather deflated.
So I am at pains to replace them, but speaker design is not that simple, so if any one has some advice what would be the best move, ie a new set of tweeters with an ajusted crossover, or a complete new speaker kit? Cheers Chris.. |

Re: Audax gold tweeters looking sad
We have recently replaced a pair of Audax gold domes in a pair of KLS10 with the SEAS Millenium treble unit and a new crossover. E-mail us if you would like further details.
Alternatively, if you like higher efficiency, what about the WD25 kits? |

Re: Audax gold tweeters looking sad
I've managed to get the gold oval tweeters back into shape, looking firm and busty. There are 4 screws on the back which can be removed, inside there is a o-ring which can be pulled off and adjusted, the 4 screws have to be tightend equally allowing the o-ring to press around the oval dome with the same tension.
It's not perfect, but it will extend their use for a while. Chris...... |
