Fluo display on CDP

Strange experience;

just installed a super reg in my cdp and swapped some cheap diodes for schottky's, checked everything, switched on and.............no display

. Everything works, the cdp does sound better

but no display. I've been through and checked everything but nope, dead. Any ideas?
