Hi-i have just noticed a new forum member and their status is "banned".

There are several reasons why 'members' of this forum become 'banned'. The usual one is that they have given a bogus email address or have not completed both steps of the sign-up process.

We are now very diligent in avoiding scammers and spammers as forums like ours are being hit very hard by bogus sign-ups. These sign-ups usually come from robot registrations where the spammers hope that the forum applications are not moderated. If due diligence is not applied, as we do, then they can leap in with undesirable spammy posts.

I am sorry if 'legit' members get caught up in our registration moderation process but we are happy to help anyone who misses one of the registration steps by mistake - just ask.
