Philip,
why not let sleeping dogs lie,

we don't want to drag all this up again

I should add so that George understands the English "sleeping dogs".

George, this is not calling you a dog, David was referring to the situation having gone quiet, it's none of our business anyway so we should keep out of it.

It wouldn't be surprising if you'd missed the subtlety behind this very English phase.

Hi-i am aware that this dispute is a matter for George and Ian to sort out.

It is just that as a lot of us have met,and become friends, this forum has become more than a place for anonymous anoraks to congregate, and when a new member is allegedly wronged by one of the forum stalwarts i think it SHOULD be our business to see fair play done.

In the world today too many people turn their back on those who are in need and are only interested in themselves.

Ian has shown himself to be an honorable person in many of his previous postings and it is about time he and George came to an amicable solution.

Then none of us would have to worry about the matter and the thread could be withdrawn.

Hi Philip,

For sure I hope the dispute is sorted out fairly and to the satisfaction of both parties. We may have to disagree on my next point. I really don't see that we should act as policemen for what are private transactions. We've been very neutral on this but it's not unlikely that people could take sides and skew thinking over what's happening. I just don't think we should be doing this, it's too intrusive and potentially dangerous precident. I know our motives are honourable but we can't be sure that this will always be the case with everyone.

Regards,

Clive

ps I think corroborated factual input is fine, eg TX winding colours
