Great source of Hammond parts, and just about anything else, if its not on the web site, call Phil up, he may well be able to get it, or have it, or conmvince you that you didn't want it in the first place, but there is this great other thing you need.

without doubt Phillip is one of the most enthusiastic people I have delt with,
no point is too small for him to explain,
has even rung me late in the evening to discuss a problem,
I wish everyone was as good

David

I'll second that. he was very helpful and ran through the spec for the EL34 project with so I could check that I was on the right lines with the design.
He then of course sold me two hundred quids worth of iron and other bits to get me started like....

He's a cross between Arkwright and Auntie Wainwright. You can't phone him without ending up buying something, but he makes you think that what you bought is what you always wanted anyway.

Without Philip's help and inspiration I'd still be listening to solid state...

Hi-i have used Philip (Bluebell) for some time and he is a thoroughly nice man.

As an example,on my last order i had specified some 3W WW resistors,he rang me at home to query the order, and in fact i should have ordered 6W ones.(my error when compiling the order) so i got what i really wanted.

It is this attention to detail, and his enthusiastic manner that make him such a great person to deal with.

just a bit of a heads up,

the prices of Hammond txs have dropped considerably according to Philip's site
in particular the SE outputs,
