Re: Ivor Cutler RIP
I hope he didn't suffer too much. A spark of humour that will remain in my memory.
Ivor was a regular guest for John Peel and John Walters from the late 60's onwards. Very rewarding to have one of his anthems juxtaposed with ISB (not the beer but the band) and Deep Purple. Who is there left to do eclectic - or mildly eccentric - now? Jerry |

Re: Ivor Cutler RIP
Bless him
What a lovely bloke. Have two of his albums, need more . Too many great people gone in the last 10 years . You can't imagine them being replaced , maybe I'm wrong . MJ |

Re: Ivor Cutler RIP
Yes, very sad news.
Many years ago I took my partner to a Carla Bley Big Band gig at the Purcell Room and Ivor Cutler was support (!). She wasn't impressed with CB (it was really Steve Swallow the bassist i went to see being a bass geek) but IC was great she reckoned... I thought he was great and knew what to expect, thankfully we're still together!!! DTB |
