KEL84, using as a power amp

Hello every one,

Looking for some advice, I have just purchased a KEL84 intergrated amp from a fellow forum member, it has the 5 input relay board fitted, is it poss. to use the amp only as a power amp attached up to my pre 3?

If this is not an option, what alterations will I need to do to use it in this mode?

It will be fine with your pre3.Just set the vol on the amp to around 75% and use the vol pot on the pre to adjust.Just treat it as a power amp form then on.You may need to adjust the vol on the amp to give a good useable range on the pre3 vol pot depending on the sensitivity of your speakers.

Hello Ali,

Many thanks for the reply, I take it then that I just select any input on the Kel84, ie:tuner, plug the pre into the tuner sockets and away we go.
