Default Michael Percy Audio

http://www.percyaudio.com/

One of the best sources for boutique components for upgrades and much much more. They also stock probably the widest range of certain favoured and popular components such as Blackgate caps and various resistors that you are likely to find. Airmail service from them in the USA is good and at the time of dispatch (payments by Paypal), they send you a photo of your package. Excellent international service with competitive prices.

Best wishes,

Greg

Just to bump PercyAudio back to the top, I don't think there is a better boutique component supplier around. Now matter how small the order, communication seems to be prompt and efficient, you even get a pic of your parcel via email before it's sent!

The only problem I had was getting my order accepted, my emails kept getting replied to say that they were overloaded with orders and to try again if it was important. The sixth time I was lucky and my order went through OK I think I read somewhere that once you've placed an order that any more orders would be processed without a hitch but I havent needed to try another one yet, apart from that the service is superb and the range is fantastic.

Wow! I just asked for a quote via email, got a response, paid via PayPal and got the photo of the packet all ready to ship within the space of 3 hours!!!

You can't complain at that, well done Michael Percy!

Hi All,

I seem to be having some problems getting a response from Michael Percy via email. I wondered if anyone else is experiencing problems and whether anyone has had an order go through in the last few days?

Thanks,
Tony

Well, it's now 2010. Over the last 10 days I've emailed an order to Michael Percy twice and not got so much as an acknowledgement that an email was received. As Australians say, this is "suss". One should proceed no further.

I did have a problem in 2008 there getting a response but in the end (2 weeks later) he did email me back with an apology saying that he'd been snowed under with orders as was working flat out to clear backlog and therefore not responding to new orders. It would've been nice to have been told that earlier I agree but in the end it all worked out ok. He's a good supplier, assuming he's not too busy to take your order!

Hi

Just thought I would post my findings. Ordered a lot of components from MP audio - then changed most of them to different values so set up a new list and sent to him. Received no reply after 3 weeks so sent a reminder. Got a reply within an hour - paid with paypal.

Just received a beautiful box full of lots of wonderful bits. Just have to glue them together now.

So service is great but I think he is a busy man.

Nick
