Missing image from FAQ thread
Hi,

Hi Pete,
That was a while ago! Some of the wording is corrupted so shout if all is not clear. Overview is, the resistance of the fb resistor is increased to lessen the amount of signal fed back. The hf compensating cap is adjusted to suit the lower amount of fb and it was found with a scope that the value changes in proportion to the fb resistor. As the fb resistor is also the cathode resistor a second resistor is added as shown in the pic to keep the valve's dc conditions the same. It does this by providing a parallel path to the fb resistor to restore the original dc value. |
