What ive been lsitening to in 2011
Hello,
As a new member to the forum i thought i would drop you a quick note to let you know some of what ive been listening to this year, some are new, some not so new, but blimey they've all been good so far. Kort - Invariable Heartache Iron & Wine, Kiss Each Other Clean and Around The Well OTT - Skylon Shpongle - Nothing Lasts but Nothing is Lost Roy Harper - Flat Baroque & Berserk Soft Hearted Scientists - Take Time to Wonder In a Whirling World To name but a few Hope its given you some ideas R |

King Creosote, fantastic band, have you heard his album ( bomeshell ) I think it's his best yet, allso try Porcupine Tree, there are many albums. BOB

Thanks to DTB, this year I've mostly been listening to Hadouk Trio Live Au Sattelit Cafe. Absobloodylootly berilliant!

Just listen to this album very very very interesting Liking this a lot, will have to got for it and give it another listen just to be sure
Can I also throw in a curved ball, has anyone listened to/ heard of Martyn Bennett? If not plz check out, they said dance music and bagpipes would never work WRONG, Get yer new year of to a flyer trust me you wont regret it At 32 a said loss to the folk music scene in Scotland, what a talent, genius is an often overused word but in his case Had the joy of seeeing him many many times ever time it was fantastic, but King Tuts in Glasgow was the best 400 people jammed into a fairly small venue, atmos like no other and he was down in the crowd doing his thing, will live with me for the rest of my days |
