Hi-this is the (almost) finished article.

From a James Doddington design.

They work (monoblocks) and i like them.

Hi Philip,

They look very interesting, have you much left to do then? That looks like a light bulb on the top - maybe you just need a lamp shade!

Then you can call it a lamplifier!!

(DTB must be busy this afternoon - I'm surprised he hasn't commented yet! )

Hi Mike-we have had a DTB bulb comment.

They had them in the Lancasters so they could see to repair them in the dark !
In use the bulb (40W) only emits a very soft glow.

The only thing left to do is to work out how (or where) to connect up my LCD voltmeter and selector switch.

I have run out of time now so that will be for the future.(another year knowing me! )

So it is in prime form to take on allcomers for the WithamFest single ended challenge.

Hi Philip,

A couple of analogue volt meters would have looked more interesting and pretty retro, but more bulky and harder to come by I guess.

When I met DTB at the Tonbridge Audio jumble back in Feb, I was on the look out for a GL75 as a winter project, although the TT was sourced off Ebay shortly after, I'm sure it won't be started for a good while yet!!

Its good to see amp's like yours though, and although I've only built a number of WAD amp's I feel the scratch build of a simple amp maybe be a more practical (useful) project, rather than starting my GL75!! Who knows!!

Enjoy the fest! And keep your eye on DTB, If you see him hovering about with a lampshade, you'll know what he's up to!

(Just read the main thread, If i'd done that first I'd not of been in the dark about the light bulbs!!)

Thanks, but it was dismantled a long time ago and the bits reused.

I keep meaning to go back to PT15, but always something different to try.
