Hi Clive, David and Greg,

Hmmm, well, I'm learning all the time, thanks for the info on the magnets...wouldn't have known that a week ago...

Plenty of time to go on the two I'm watching on fee-pay. Then again, £450 is perhaps a bit more than my budget might stretch too, but I'm in no hurry and happy to watch a few go past.

There seems to be a ready supply on fee-pay and then, as you say, there's always Nick and other folks, who have the advantage of some form of warranty/come back, which is more than you are certain of receiving from fee-pay, tho' some sellers are honest souls, some are not.

I'll looking forward to hearing more of the idlers at the phono-shoot out, so that will also help me decide how much it is worth spending...

cheers,

-- Andrew

Do you really have one at that price? What's wrong with GL?

Andrew,

and £310 for a really grotty Schedule 1 with no platter! ok it has the grease bearing but even so....

I've seen 301's at the Emporium for less than £450. A 401 would be a way of saving some dosh.
