Re: Quad ESL 57's with a Audax HD-3P Gold Dome Piezo Tweeter.
Thank you for your continued support.
I will learn as much as possible about fine tuning the Gold Domes to the Quads. Is the new proposal, based on the idea of not using the HD-3P Crossover and producing a Crossover that has a Cap and a Resistor, of certain values to adjust the frequency so that it does not start at the quoted 4.5Khz ? The idea of the Gold Dome Dipole array, came from a OB build, I had seen on Pinterest, I did not Bookmark it and have failed to find it again The quads for me are my make old bones with speakers, the KLS 3 gold domes I use as well, are all I want from a box speaker, and the search for any thing different is over. I have recently purchased 6 PA speaker of which 5 have Eminence Beta 15's I hope to cut the ply wood over the Holiday to allow for a OB Panel, Dipole, and Ripole to be produced and trialled through out 2018. I feel sure one of these arrangements will produce a desired end result. The light bulb went on as I was wondering about the PA Cabinets, I now have Six stackable Record/CD storage Boxes, with a little DIY involved to cut the front panels and add a shelf. As a alternative I can bring out the Denon PMA 250, Intergrated and make use of the Tone Controls, I would not have great confidence in this Amp as a worthy representative to support the trials. |
