I don't have a signal generator, what can I use instead?
Consider a test CD disc. These have recorded sine wave test tones at stated frequencies and levels. The CD output available will be about .5v RMS that would fully drive the input of KEL84, KiT/KaT88 and KiT34. Accuracy would be down to the CD player and disc recording but could be used for a power output check as an example.
If you have a computer with a CD writer and access to sound processing software such as 'Cool Edit' (www.syntrillium.com), you can make a test disk for yourself. Last edited by John Caswell; 16th July 2011 at 03:53 PM. |
