Default Question re HD3S

Could anyone tell me, what is the function of the phono out sockets on the back of the HD3S? - a straight-through connection out to your normal amp/recorder?

Alastair

Alastair, it is for connecting a analogue recording device, HD3S should be connected from the tape output from the Pre or integrated and the other connection on HD3S will go to the recorder, the recorders output is then connected back to the Pre/integrated to the tape in. Bob

Thanks. So, basically the same as the tape-out. No less reason a headphone amp should have one than any other amp.

Hi Alistair,
The other way you can do this is fit another tape out socket on the pre, isolated, like the other, by a 1K resistor.
I did this on my Pre3/4.

Thanks. I haven't got one. Just toying with the idea!
