Hi Bonky,
I'm a newbie and have just discovered & joined WD. I'd love to build a pair of WD26t, with a cheaper tweeter. Thinking of SEAS 29TFF Prestige. Did you manage to get the plans and build them? If you have any information or help whatsoever on building or your impressions on there sound these please contact me.
All the best,
Ade

Ade, you may not be aware that all WAD and WD now belongs to Matthew Snell ( he is the owner and administrator of WD and the forum respectively ) Greg, is a member who can advise you in your search and may have what you need, he visits the forum regular, so should get to you soon. Bob

Thanks. The only problem is that I can't afford the tweeters Peter used in his original or EX version (both are £250 each) . I'm looking for a xo design with a cheaper tweeter, maybe Seas 27TDFC. I'll have to learn how to use one of the xo calculators I've seen online. Thanks anyway. Maybe I'll buy the Cd anyway, it'll probably have some useful info.

Hi again Ade,
Please clarify which speaker you want details about. This is a thread about the WD25T.
If you want details about the WD25T please read post 4 and 10 in this thread. The speakers details are on the WD Platinum CD for £20,
http://www.world-designs.co.uk/cd%20rom.htm
along with development and tweaking notes and many other speaker articles.

Hi Richard,
Thanks for your reply. I've written to World Designs asking them if the xo design is on their CD-ROM. if it is, then I'm happy to buy it. I don't think it will be though, as I believe that Peter used expensive tweeters from the start. I'm only looking for a xo design between the Seas A26RE4 and the 27TDFC tweeter.

Neither the WD25A nor the WD25T were fitted with Seas 27TDFC tweeter. Both standard versions used Seas 29TFF/W H/318-06.

Ade, which speaker are you asking about? If it is WD25T the crossover is shown in full on the cd and tweaking the crossover is also covered.

My understanding from the posts is Ade isn’t asking for the WD25T crossover design, he’s asking if a design exists using the same bass driver as WD25T but with an alternative treble unit.

I suspect his best bet might be to build the Seas kit here and put it on a similarly dimensioned width/depth box of suitable height.
