As far as LEDs are concerned I usually work on a 10mA current so if you have a 10 Volt line then 1K will be fine 20V = 2K 5V = 470R. It works for pretty well all LEDs even the godawful blue ones which I abhor!

Hi All,
Once again thanks for the options, You may be right in stating the fact that they may be different LEDs so I will change them to be all one type and fit the appropriate resistor as needed for the brightness that I think is needed.
