Re: Poorly WD88va
Morning Bob, well done if you fixed it. I'm not quite following though, what meter did you use and what is left channel diss and which nuts were causing the problem?

Re: Poorly WD88va
Hi All
Bob sorted the problem and certainly knows his stuff. I've posted a thank you in the coffee bar, but in case Bob doesn't see it I will put a shorter version here - thank you Bob for your patience and skill. I am now going to plug the amp back in and enjoy some Cream :-) Thanks again Bob!!!!!!!!! P.S. If Putin wants to do me a favour he can target the M6 for me - nightmare journey home to Stockport A gratefull Aidan |

Re: Poorly WD88va
Thank you Aidan and thanks for the donation to the animals. Richard, diss, is a word used for open circuit, one channel on Aidans amplifier was open curcuit due to the nut on the input socket being very loose, with a signal gen on both inputs at 500Hz and the scope on the outputs, the left channel ( I think ) was all over the screen, but the right was steady, tightening both socket nuts and all transformer fixings sorted the problem, I hope all is OK because it was quite an untidy build with large capacitors just hanging from the tag boards, not good, but it worked fine in my system. Bob
