Re: what are you listening to now
Jim Noir - Tower of Love (2005)
Mellow Byrdsy psych pop with a very British sense of humour all on a delicious slice of purple vinyl Audio Sample The Eighteenth Day of May - The Eighteenth Day of May (2006) New Folk sort of Pentangle-ish with a nice 'live in the studio' type of sound. Audio Sample Nancy Priddy - You've been this way before. (1968) " A fine, low-key psych folk pop masterpiece, funky and folky and psychy-rocky and Lord knows what else all at once," Some great moog stuff on this and she has a lovely voice. Audio Sample(not the best on the album, but the only one I can find) Wendy and Bonnie - Genesis (1969) " Genesis, the sole album by SF-based sisters Wendy and Bonnie Flower, ranks as one of the most remarkable unheard albums of 1969. With melodic confections laced with radiant sisterly harmony, the breezy Brazilian splashes and soft-rock strains of Genesis convey a sophistication that belies the artists' tender ages (Wendy 17, Bonnie 13)." Audio Sample Oh and the upcoming Stereolab single is great, starts off all electro samba-ish and mellow and then mutates into a stomping motorik wig-out, can't wait to get my mitts on those loverly 7" singles: Audio Sample
