Yep, just thinking the same, had a Springsteen session tonight, Darkness on the Edge of Town, Born to Run and Born in the USA, great stuff and really works when I've got the house to myself and it gets a bit of welly

been listening to kind of blue before the kids decided to get up, brilliant at low level, sat there a 7.30 with the dog and a cup of coffee. very nice to do for once. its a rare thing these days for me to have an hour to myself to just sit and listen

Our brats in the army now so when SWMBO goes out the welly goes down firmly.

Its nice to remind yourself how dam good your system sounds with decent music and a lot of volume, the nay-boors may disagree however

it was quite an eye opener tbh, i didnt realise how nice it sounds, at the best of times theres someone talking to me, or the air pump for the fishtank is droning away, or some other extraneous variable is encroaching on my listening when its on. lovely to just sit back and relax, i'll try again tonight, can relax with the dog and a beer instead!

Beer can sometimes beat any upgrade or mod, even folk music can seem bearable if enough beer is consumed (just before blacking out)

Snowed in today (well thats my excuse) so stayed home, put on Grace Jones new album - Hurricane, well worth a listen - the who-man is still scarey after all these years

Some heavy bass too, rel got excited in his corner and started the doors rattling in their frames, had to switch the dam thing off.

Trouble is a valve amp just does'nt do the very lowest synth bass lines - so the sub went back on turned down even lower than usual nice.

It does, a bit like the Nutopian International Anthem.

A friend of mine has done me a DVD of No 1 hits 1953-2004 and there are a lot of memorable songs (to me ) to listen to.

It's in MP3 format so i can only play it on the DVD player or computer.

I could do a copy for DTB so he can hear what quality moosic was like in the days of (really) old !
