Hi all.

Peter, re: The email I sent last night, I've got that issue sorted now and thanks to all for your suggestions..

I now have music on both channels and the selector is working fine, However, The volume knob has to be turned round to about 3 o clock to hear anything and then, the sound id distorted... could this be a result of the earlier problem with the short circuit across C3 ?

I'll continue to look at stuff but any suggestions appreciated, Thanks..

Rikki.....

That doesn't sound like the sort of problem that would result from C3. However R1 will probably have gone 'high' resistance if it has been burning hot. Have you replaced this yet with the one I sent you?

Peter and all,

Have now sorted out the last issues with the amp. Have to admit to the last one being a fault of my own, had'nt wired up the grd and FB wires to the speaker posts.

Anyways, its now up and running and sounding absolutely superb....

Thanks to Peter and the team for the help given to me and to everyone else who posted with possible fixes......

I am now a happy chappy.........

Cheers

Had you listened to the amp without the relay switching? Just wondered how much of an improvement it is.

A shorter signal path. Eliminating the selector switch as part of that path means less chance of picking up interference. The relays have gold plated contacts from what I can gather aswell so this should help....

The other relays other than the one being used also short the circuit for that input, meaning no chance of any low level cross talk..

Correct me if I'm wrong anyone !!

Cheers
