Re: Wiring diagrams.......
Hi Clive,
The later (and still pre Mark and Phil) WAD instruction diagrams were also in colour. Best wishes, Greg |

Re: Wiring diagrams.......
Course, I've no idea what the instructions were like for the WAD kits, as they couldn't sell me one. If the WD instructions are very clear and also in colour then of course, the work to implement my suggestion may not be worthwhile. I'd still suggest though that this kind of detail, if advertised via the magazine, might attract more buyers. I may be wrong.
Nick - You have more confidence in me than I have. I've got some dynamicap coupling caps sitting in a box right now, together with a new main PCB, new RCA sockets and a new volume pot that I still haven't fitted, because it takes me weeks to get into the right mental state to do it. I like doing this once I get going, but I still worry like hell when I'm working on the amp and this slows me down a lot. |

Re: Wiring diagrams.......
I've been following this thread with interest.
With the WD speaker kits we supply pictorial and text instructions on CD-ROM on the basis that a picture paints a thousand words. By showing you in photographs how to put a speaker cabinet together we think it makes the process simple and avoids mistakes. You will also gain confidence just by watching the photos of how the kit is assembled. We will continue this method when putting our new amplifier kits together. Unfortunately we can't do it for the older WAD kits, but we feel these have good written instructions with diagrams that will enable most DIY people to succeed in building their kit. We are also offering a ready built and tested service for all our kits, and the WAD kits, for those users who want the best but don't enjoy the DIY part! We can also 'finish' partly built kits if requested or if things go wrong. |

Re: Wiring diagrams.......
Sounds like I might have a chance then, although I don't know what I can upgrade to tbh.

Re: Wiring diagrams.......
I think this kind of approach is very attractive...

I sometimes play prodigy and massive attack.. that has real bass.. and there's alot of detail in it... the fine detail that se amps are are good at, is true right across the frequency range. its just a case of getting it 'right' and where ever you, are from a skill and knowlege point of veiw...there's along way to go ... that what makes it a good hobby.. steve |

I borrowed a 845 SE amp for a few weeks to try on my transmission lines, and even listening to quality rock the bass was nothing short of awesome!!!!Deep, fast, and above all so fluidly musical, you don't just 'hear' the music through a good SE amp,you 'feel' it Kindest Regards Martin |
