Hi-i've got my finger out and fitted the transformers to "el cheapo" and i've just fired it up in the study system.
Wow-now we do have bass,never heard the MC-2 s sound that bassy ! I will run them in for a while then transfer the amp to the proper system with the VoFos and report back. Generally i have trouble hearing changes,but not this time. Philip

Hi-i had forgotten that the first CD i used was quite bass heavy but even so there is definately more "body" to the sound now they are teamed up with the VoFos.
Also,using a car jump lead,one end connected to the radiator pipe and the other to a screwdriver probe,i have found the hum problem i had and cured it. So now i am REALLY happy with the "el cheapo" 832 PP. Philip
