Sorry that you are having problems, Greg.

I have still got a bit of clearing up to do. The site works under frame forwarding (in order to keep all the old links) but this seems to be causing a few problems with the internal forum linking which I am sorting out.

It also sounds as though you may still be accessing some of the temporary internet files stored in your PC. Try refreshing the page you are having problems on (F5).

Delete button on keyboard often doesn't work and item to be deleted has to be highlighted first. I can't load up a thumbnail attachment to a message. I've followed the directions as per the FAQ. After clicking 'upload' I get a 'done' message but a blank screen and nothing gets attached. Other than that it's all much faster and more efficient and clearly Black Stuart (Deep South) can now once again get his voice heard, so a considerable improvement with just a few teething problems to resolve. Well done!

Best wishes,

Greg
Yes same problem here. Logged-in it looks correct ( in my preference "Bulletin" blue colour ) but Gallery pics don't show and clicking on a gallery pic title takes me out of the logged-in screen back to the green default screen.

I think Greg and I are on Virgin cable and wonder if it's Virgin cache? Had similar before when I could still access the board and others couldn't. May take a day or two. I'll try attaching an image.

Ah, now I logged into that green screen and it displayed correctly (blue "Bulletin") with pics and my preferences.

It seems that Gallery is operating in parallel to the main Forum (for me at the mo anyway).

Yes, I too can't get rid of the "World Designs" green screen (and the blank gallery pics on the intro sreen). After resetting to the "Bulletin" blue screen it promptly reverts to green whenever the page is changed! Needless to say cookies have been deleted etc - to no avail

I am trying various settings for cookie control to see if I can sort this out. Bear with us in the meantime.

Just to update I am still getting the same problems as described before and appear to be the same as Greg and Richard. I have deleted the site from 'favourites' and then re-saved it as suggested by one contributor but this has made no difference - in fact as far as I can see the old website address in 'favourites' was exactly the same as currently.

I have so far resisted deleting all cookies as you suggested Petercom as I may have to re-enter all usernames and passwords for other sites and I'm not sure I can remember them all. If that's the only way then I will do it but hopefully you can sort it out. It seems strange that some BBers don't have any problems - is there something different with their setup?

Best of luck in sorting it and please let us know when to try again.

Regards

Roger

Changes I've noticed so far are:

1) Gallery now works as it should, which it never did before.

2) The bookmark in my Firefox bookmark toolbar now has a rather nifty WD logo next to it. This only happened this morning. Last night it said R1 for some reason. Previously it had a logo which looked like a hyped-up diode symbol, which was the same as another forum I subscribe to (also on V-bulletin) which hasn't changed, so I guess they're still on the old host or something.

3) The bookmark now insists on taking me to the Search Forums page, whereas before it took me to New Posts. Trying to create new bookmarks doesn't make any difference.

4) Black Stuart's back.

What I suggest everyone does is use the following URL to access the forum:

http://www.wduk.worldomain.net/forum/

Cookies should then work as prescribed.

Reset your bookmark or favourite to the above.

The 'nifty' logo is called a 'favicon'. It is used in the latest editions of IE and Firefox to identify the site. I created the WD favicon this morning. R1 is the icon of Register1 who are our new hosts.

The 'hyped-up diode' symbol is the favicon of vBulletin.
