LOL, no wonder you were not answering them....

I spoke to Frank and he has all the drawings for your transformers except,????
you guessed it ...WDHD3....
Oh well, thanks for the reply anyway, it's good to know that you do answer posts even though you do take some time to answer them...

P.S. I think lots of members may also be needing a reply....

PPS. Cathode follower for WDHD3? Does this change the specs for the TX? I think they had the pentode in triode mode 'cause they did not really need all the gain of the pentode, but they needed more than a cathode follower.... The feedback winding complicates matters more as it creates a reactive, frequency dependent gain stage as well..... ABOUT HERE I get lost with the lack of info..... :-0

present too!

Why Borrow one when you already sell it Also you must have the Output TX spec in your WAD/ WD back Catalogue of Design Schematics from the Designers And who is your Transformer Winder contact him for the Series/Part Numbers OR Contact the original Andy Glover the Designer

Unhappy Re: World Design Future Plans

Colin, this isn't remotely helpful old chap!!

You know only too well the original manufacturer has stopped trading. Andy did not design that transformer.

If you guys can't be more helpful there isn't going to be much of a future.

I'm beginning to wish I hadn't bothered.................

Dave

I am just trying to help
by creating a starting point to the Original amp as I am aware you may not know the back ground of the amp go from there TX designers name is in the Diy supplement of the original HD83 Headphone Amp I think the Transformers Are still the same Spec as far as I am aware you just have to check one of your Kits you must have a new Transformer Make/winder you can discuss it with

Can I just draw everyones attention to this post please ? http://www.world-designs.co.uk/forum...59&postcount=2

There is a large paragraph about running stock down prior to Peter's handover.
It's near the bottom of the post.

Colin, what Dave is trying to tell you is that he has no stock of that item, and that the transformer manufacturers are no longer trading. Presumably all the details relating to that transformer are not available from anywhere, hence the request to borrow one.
