Paul, I am not saying yours is a lonely voice.
But it doesn't alter the fact that you do come out with generalisations. e.g "Don't bother with fixed bias using batteries it's pants." You, and possibly others, have already decided that you don't like battery bias and with this comment you are telling the recipient that he/she will not like it either, thereby not leaving them to make up their own mind, which is what you have just exhorted me to let happen. And there I will stop before this degenerates. John |

Yes you have an excellent point. What I promote is self experimentation, but then I go and make a statement which could be taken by some as dictatorial, but that is not the spirit in which it is said. Listener please try all things for yourself and measure my statement by your findings, don't let my statement prevent your own discovery, it is a statement of my findings so far. I do massive u turns and am happy to make it public. I was blindly using battery fixed bias for a year or more based on perceived knowledge as soon as I had experiential knowledge I made public the change of direction. Ribbon speakers are for girls and Paul Barker.
