Hi Ian,

Nice input. I'll try that. Any advise on how to achieve this?

Best wishes,

Greg

Select "I would like to request a catalogue" from the bottom menu after filling the rest of the form out with your details.

Cheers,

I've requested both CD and catalogue in the past and received neither. I wondered if it was because I wasn't a frequent buyer. Those who have received the CDs or catalogue how frequently have you used them, and would you consider that you have spent a fair bit with them?

Thanks,
Simon.

Hi Simon,

I've been getting the paper catalogues (can't stand CD catalogues!) from Farnell for about the last 10 years and I've never had to ask again, since my initial request. I suppose I spend more than the average DIY'er, since most of my orders are work-related. But there again, since my work is in R&D, rather than manufacturing, my orders tend to be of fairly low value (no more than about 50-100 quid, I suppose). I order maybe once a month or so, on average. I don't suppose for one moment that constitutes "a fair bit", in their terms. Never had a problem with them though, fantastic service. How did you request your catalogues - maybe a phone call might work better than an emailed request? I'd try again, if I were you, maybe you were just unlucky?

Nigel.

Thanks Nigel, I'll try again. Apart from this I've only had excellent service from Farnell and like using them.

Simon.

Buck hickman are also good didn't realise they were owned by Farnell.
they tend to deal in the heavy weight stuff. sheets of copper, lead flashing, welding supplies, vaccum fittings etc. handy for interesting switches. mains switch back of case rubber air filled piston front of case. long plastic pipe and gubbins to actuate switch.

works a bit like a top of cistern toilet flush

nice!

Dave
