That’s a crossover box with a difference. Puts my Maplin plastic boxes to shame. Very novel and attractive, Chris.

Thanks guys, am really glad I made the effort I was in two minds not to do it, but after seeing the size of the mundorf capacitors I was spurred on to find a bigger home for them. This also gave me the chance to play around with extra space within the speakers, I tried to create a mini anechoic chamber.

Thanks Colin, the enclosure box is made of layers of plywood, then smoothed over with body filler, it's very solid.
The crossover is on 6mm plywood, with 8mm of neoprene foam on both sides so that the components are pulled deeply into the foam with cable ties, even the resistors have 2 cable ties each.

I used both Mundorf and Pathaudio resistors, Mundorf capacitors were the Silver/gold oil type.

Great job Chris, very professional. Just a question, John mentioned the importance of “separating the crossover earth returns” in his advice. In the crossovers for my WD25T’s the earth returns reach a common point on the board for what is a 2-way xover. Is this an issue? See pic from my post earlier this year.
Cheers
Phil.
