Certainly may be interested,if it could either include as standard, the mods made by some of our more DIY conscious members,or as an option.

I'd be happy to find a good tubed alternative to my current phono stage,if only for a change.

hello boys,
my wad phono is hardwired and about as upgraded as you can get. I too was impressed with Andrew's phono stage and would be happy to hear if my phono (with which I am very happy) really doesn't cut the mustard.

I may have misled you a bit with my Cornet,
it's upgraded with Kiwame resistors and pio caps, so it isn't quite ordinary,
I've never heard a PhonoII so It would be a real treat to compare it,

Agreed Nick, we should move this thread...especially since we seem to have a quorum, all we need now is a venue and a date.

I'm happy to host at my gaffe, say max 8 folks first come first served etc - if the takers don't mind the drive to Scotland. The local scenery is very good. I guess there's a few of you who could share petrol and a car might make it do-able. There's a travel lodge not far away so much like an EggFest. We have a house extension on the go so there could be a choice of empty rooms we could inhabit for the day.

cheers,

-- Andrew

Smashing idea and I'd love to come up to Scotland but it is too far and I haven't got time for a while either. I just have to be elsewhere and work of course presses in again.

I was rather hoping that any get together could be in the South for a change, what with Eggfest being in the North and Scotland being a bit too far for a Weekend jaunt

I am easy either way, I would say I am in the middle, but I haven't room for more than one or two at a time, but if it did take place in't south then Andrew (north), you would be welcome to come down to me the night before then drive down the next day.

BTW, Andrew (south) I have just noticed what you avatar is, oh, dear, another one, explains why you liked the MV rectifier a few months ago :-)

If it comes down south,I'd maybe be able to offer my Dino and NC power for comparison.

I could probably make it to Nick's gaffe the night afore (thanks Nick) - assuming I can get a kitchen pass, but we need a host.

Anyone willing to host darn saarf way?

cheers,

-- Andrew
