Today has not been too bad but the problem persists. Yesterday was hard work. Basically I often have to try several, sometimes quite a lot of log in attempts. I get there in the end but it is clunky and not user friendly at the moment.

Until today, I've not really experienced any problems logging in to these boards, but I've really struggled throughout the day.

I'm using Internet Explorer on a Windows XP Pro machine, so this does not seem to be an operating system/ browser issue since it happens to a variety of people using different machines.

Tonight has been the worst yet. Logging in has been blocked on numerous occasions and after attempts for three hours, I've finally got in. Previously Safari stated the server was not responding.

Considering all the messaging posted here on this issue, I'm a bit gobsmacked that Matthew or a moderator has not responded. Clearly the problem is affecting several members and as previously exposed, it does not appear to be a member system problem.

An observation and update from a mod or Matthew would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

Furthermore, the whole thing is clunky. My last post above took ages to upload. Actually I was surprised when I found it had been successful.

Hi Greg,
Mine's been a bit slow a few times the past week or so but has always logged in ok.
For the record I'm on Virgin broadband using Win 8 and IE 10 and Firefox browsers.
If anyone has a problem it would be good if you let us know what machine and connection you're using as it may be a problem with your provider or the WD host server etc and the info may be useful to see the cause.
I'm sure Matthew will pick this up over the next day or two but let us know if it continues

It's worth refreshing by reading the full thread, because that puts it all into perspective.

I'm generally accessing through Safari on my iPad. However, I've had similar log in problems on my old PC being IE on XP.

Because of what others have reported, I don't think this problem is simply mine. There must be more to this related to the forum server etc.

If Matthew can address this issue, that would be very welcome.

I gave up earlier this evening, but it seems OK now. For me the issue comes and goes.

From previously having problems on other forums it seems like it might be a server problem.

Windows XP Pro and Google Chrome.

I did. What isps are you using guys ie Virgin, Sky, BT etc?

Yep it’s started happening to me now
Much the same as Philip regarding other Forums
Windows 7 with IE.10 and BT
