I think Dave the new site owner is just covering his ar*se by pointing out the blindingly obvious that electrickery kills and if you don't know that you shouldn't ever take the cover off anything and keep well clear of it - on one of my threads here the Lumley 120 mono-blocks I was given some good advise - keep the probe in one hand and put the other in your belt behind your back (bloody good advise as well) which was worth following because you cannot see it you cannot smell it and it kills

and unless of course he believes that PRE65 is suicidal perhaps his comments could have been put in a better/nicer/politer way

PRE65 that looks awesome I hope it turns out performing as you wish - is that the completed article now ? some wiring aside? or have you more bits that need adding to it - old TV stand is a nice idea for carrying it as well -

Glad you're still with us Philip, remember when listening to turn down the heating, don the flame proof underpants, stay in the chair, and, most importantly, keep both hands tied behind your back. Then you should be ok so long as the radiation doesn't incinerate you during a a particularly long guitar solo or next door's cat doesn't trip over the speaker leads

I've only tried the filament heater so far, and at 100W (10V @ 10A) the heat was nothing to speak of.

This hobby is what keeps me sane (although some might disagree ).
