Somthing strange going on here, still no reply, I have PM ed and emailed, left my phone number but, nothing, I now quote from one of Aidan's first post's - 16 May 2007.
- I am in Stockport and I'll post photographs of the beast. I can use a soldering iron and I have a healthy respect for the natiaonal grid! -
and a quote from 8 January 2024 - Confession time: I've swapped all leads one at time and am confident it is the amplifier - and at that point I have to step back and admit I don't own a soldering iron or voltmeter and wouldn't know how to use one lol. - Sorry Moderators, I smell a rat . Bob

The last time ‘aidan’ was on the forum was before you made your offer, so most likely he’s not seen it or your subsequent messages.
Here’s something to ponder………….not everything you read on the internet is true.

Hi Bob
Sorry for the long, long delay, I wasn't being rude, mixture of illness and work pressure :-(

If your kind offer is still available ,I would love to see if you could bring my amp back to full life!

I am happy to go to Kettering = just let me know when would be good for you?

Once again, apologies, Aidan

Well, this is a suprise, so first I must apoligise to Aidan for some of my posts, I hope you accept. Yes of course I will look at it for you, it is a long drive though, about 140 miles each way, far more than I would like to drive. I will be here most week days apart from Sunday, this is my cycling day and a large quantity of real ale day , I will PM you my address and phone number. Bob

No email, no PM, no phone call, I had the bench cleaned up, test gear set up and all ready to go, still, at last I can now see my work bench, the scope, sig. gen, veriac and other meters are all neatly assembled . Bob

Update, Aidan arrived after dinner, so into the work shop and bottom cover off, now, Aidan purchaced the amp from a third party, most nuts and screws were very loose, a quick meter cheak with the inputs revealed left channel diss, tightened all the nuts and all works good. Bob
